KENYA WRIGHT
Kenya Wright is a multidisciplinary healer, ritual facilitator, and performing artist devoted to the liberation, joy, and sovereignty of Afro-descendant communities. As the visionary founder of the Reiki Certification program, Astral Authority, Kenya bridges ancestral wisdom with contemporary spiritual practice—offering energy healing, womb care, and earth-based rituals that reconnect us to our power and purpose.
Before stepping into her role as a global healer and teacher, Kenya spent over a decade as a performing artist. She sang for 13 years with the internationally acclaimed VOENA Choir, gracing stages from the White House to the 2012 London Olympics, and sharing music alongside luminaries such as Maya Angelou, CeCe Winans, and Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Her artistry has taken her to sacred spaces around the world, including African Heritage Day in South Africa and The French Laundry in Yountville, California, USA.
Kenya refined her performance and embodiment practice through Brown University's New Works/World Traditions Performance Troupe, specializing in West African dance, improvisational theater, and performance art. This rich background informs her current work—fusing ritual, movement, and storytelling into powerful containers of healing and remembrance.
A proud member of the Afro-descendant refugee community in Costa Rica, Kenya continues to uplift feminine power and ancestral truth through movement, mentorship, and ceremony. Her work invites us to re-member who we are: sacred, sovereign, and free.
